Julie has spent her career building the things she once held together. At her family’s coffee business, she ran the business as an on-site leader. Eight years at OppenheimerFunds - moving between Denver and New York - taught her how large, complex organizations actually run.
In 2012 she founded Seltz Consulting, then spent two years as Executive Director of PCs for People Colorado, building a new-state expansion from one employee into an 11-employee, $1.2M social enterprise – writing the playbook, hiring the team, driving the truck herself when the work demanded it.
She went on to lead strategy work for organizations including Walmart, the Charles Schwab Foundation, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation as Practice Lead at Prosono, and built the Energize Colorado’s Gap Fund program, which channeled $31M to more than 10,000 small businesses during COVID-19.
Most recently, as an Executive Business Coach with Samurai Success, Julie worked directly with business owners and leadership teams – strengthening the systems that let a company run without its owner constantly in it.
Her hands-on experience is the foundation for Emergence Partners: Julie guides businesses into life-altering transformation. She has built a payroll, driven the truck, and signed the lease – and brings that lived experience to every business she empowers.
